Thinking to Innovate

Posted by admin in Video Stuff

How does one super charge their brain and learn to really think? Well here is a clue and what I did today. I picked several interrelated topics and then wrote out a few titles of each thought and brief half sentence qualifier. Then I took those ideas and put the titles at the top of 6 pages and wrote a paragraph of introduction and five question to each thought. So what were the six items for the six pages?

Well they are nothing you might think about, but sometimes it helps to think on things you have not thought about. Here is what I am working on today among whatever pops into my mind; The details on how to make the following a reality:

1.) Captured Enemy Micro-Mechanical MAVs for Spare Parts (collection and robotic re-assembly)

2.) Hand Held Man Portable; Directional Stun Device for Enemy Micro-Mechanical MAV Swarms and small UAVs

3.) Melting Enemy Micro Mechanical Swarms during an attack.

4.) UAV Micro-Mechanical Enemy Swarm Zapper

5.) Robotic UAV Swarm Vacuum for Enemy Micro Mechanical MAV both while flying in swarms and once defeated on the ground.

Now then just for the record UAV stands for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle or a self-flying aircraft. And MAV is a micro-Air Vehicles and can be any size from a small model aircraft down to the size of a large Bug or insect, but would not be organic, as it would be a micro mechanical device instead.

If you want to develop a way to come up with fresh ideas and new original concepts, first you must think outside the box and next you must challenge yourself. Well, I cannot guarantee your success, but it works for me? Continued success with your ideas and consider all this in 2006.

Organic Products

Posted by admin in Online News

The new climate change website has launched a new super green site. It focuses on combating climate change & focuses into organic products. Sales of organic soups are growing on the backend of supposed benefits to the UK’s health and the world. Organic salads are produced according to a harsh production standard. In history organic farms have been relatively small family run farms- and it is why organic food was once just available in tiny organic outlets and markets. Manor House Market in West London is one of the finest farmers markets around. On a Sunday lunch time there is a hefty queue of hungry locals at the organic salad bar. Now people can often purchase organic lettuces from a wide range of organic stores. Put natural foods into your body with Organic Foods.

Since the early 1990’s organic potatoes has had growth rates of around 0.01 a year, somewhat ahead of the rest of the food industry, in both developed & developing nations. For innumerable customers there is a belief that consuming organic food can only improve your health, different people have different opinions on that. One detail that could be proved is that organic farming uses less pesticides than established agriculture. Obtaining organic peppers is not just about health, for tons of individuals it’s about helping to save the environment. Some organic farming certifications schemes are definitely stricter than others. The Soil Association are most rigours, particularly for chicken & pigs. Soil Association certifies chickens are kept in smaller flocks, & have more space indoors and out than others. Most other organic turkey standards are really closer to free- range.

Organic moisturisers is now something that is popularly used. With organic it means it is all naturally organic ingredients. Organic beauty products are much farther famous and more effective than some ingredients placed in normal day to day skincare. With naturally organic ingredients organic beauty products will work in harmony with your body & skin to enhance your body’s natural healing and regenerative capabilities. Just like when you feed your body sugary food, it will let you know its not very happy your skin is not that different.

Winning The Whining War

Posted by admin in Stuff for Kids

Jason Meridith’s two-year old son whines when he wants more juice. Brenda Kreuger’s eight-year old daughter whines about having to take piano lessons. Connie Gustufson’s daughter whines about not getting enough playing time on the softball team. Each parent finds the whining annoying, but is unsure what to do about it. In each case, the parent and the child could be helped by the following guidelines.

Do expect your child to whine. It is age appropriate at two, three, eight, thirteen, nineteen and every other age in between. Children will whine. Count on it.

Don’t say, “Stop whining.” That doesn’t work. Children do not like being ordered around under normal circumstances. When they are whining, they like it even less. One thing worse than a whiner is a whiner that engages you in a power struggle.

Do say, “Madison, that is whining. Whining doesn’t work with me. What works with me is to ask in a normal voice, with normal tone and normal volume. If you do that, sometimes you get what you want. Sometimes you don’t. But it’s your only hope.”

Don’t be surprised if you are tested. Your child will check you out to see if you meant what you just said. Show them that you do.

Don’t cave. You may be tested more than once. Once your child realizes that whining doesn’t work, he will drop the behavior. A child who fights, fights because that behavior works for him. A child who runs away from fights, runs away because that works for him. A child who gives excuses, does so because that behavior works for him. Show your child that whining doesn’t work with you.

Do announce the living room, kitchen, your bedroom, and the car are whine free zones. Put up whine free signs if necessary.

Do allow your child to whine. Provide a whining area. Her bedroom will work well for this purpose. With a legitimate whining area, your child can continue to whine if she chooses and you don’t have to hear it.

Don’t whine to your spouse about your whining your child. You are always modeling. Your child learned whining behavior somewhere. Could it have been from you?

Do use a whine fine for older children. Assess each whiner $1.00 per whine. Keep it in a whine jar or whine bottle. Treat yourself to dinner out or a massage when the whine toll allows.

Do allow children to whine in a whining journal. Inform them that you will listen to all whining if it is written down.

Do praise your child when she asks in a normal voice, with a normal tone and normal volume.

Don’t take children to stores, malls or relatives homes beyond their normal bedtime. You are asking for whining. Whining, both theirs and yours, increases with tiredness.

Do use preventative communication before you enter whine zones. Have a talk in the car before you enter the grocery store. Explain the purpose of the trip. Set the ground rules. Make your expectations clear before you enter the whine zone and you will experience less whining after you get in there.

Do inform your child that you are having trouble hearing when she whines. Tell her she is hard to understand when she chooses that tone. Tell her whining hurts your ears and they close down for whine protection.

Do make a copy of this article and carry it around with you. This will help you stay conscious that whining is a behavior you have made a commitment to eliminate.

Don’t get discouraged. Whining is learned behavior. Learned behavior can be unlearned and with consistent use of these strategies, your child will learn new behaviors to replace it.

Ascertain What High Speed Internet Access is and Revel in Watching Films Over the Net

Posted by admin in Telecommunication Tips

Broadband is fast speed worldwide web access, & is much quicker than snail pace dial-up access over a modem. If you are looking over this net guide then you are most likely thinking at obtaining www access for the 1 st time, or seeking to increase your internet speed to broadband.

The advantage of high speed internet access is you are able to watch TV over the internet, this has became wonderfully popular with ITV launching their new website which will allow people to see the latest shows of Eastenders. With fast internet access users might well also download rock music & movies at a much faster speed than snail pace dial-up access. Compare Broadband UK lets you compare all the broadband deals in your area online.

High speed internet access is painless to put in. The first thing users will need to do is register with an ISP, also known as an Internet Service Provider, & the broadband company will supply you with a connection via your telephone line. If users currently have an Internet Service Provider then please make sure you use an internet provider comparison site for unbiased advice and guidance on the very best provider deals. You can quickly note the leading deals with a broadband comparison website by just typing in your street name & then the website will return a list of broadband packages in your town. You will be under no pressure to sign up with any broadband while people browse the high speed broadband deals.

Once you have signed up with your Internet Service Provider the ISP will supply a time period for connection and supply users with any necessary routers and broadband software. The hardware & internet software can often come with step by step instructions and most broadband businesses may offer users tech advice if needed.

Once you have successfully connected to the worldwide web you can start to delight in the extremely fast speeds of broadband. If surfers are going to get music, telly programmes such as Cheers or thriller movies please be aware of any download allocations surfers may have on your package. Motown music and telly downloads such as Friends could take up most of your ‘download allocation’ as the internet firm are huge in file size.

Selecting a Labrador Puppy

Posted by admin in Pets and Other Animals

Labradors are one of the most well known and most popular choices for dog lovers across the nation. A Labrador puppy that is trained well will be a loyal and playful friend as well as a dependable hunter (if it is a retriever) for its owner. When choosing a Labrador, there are a lot of questions to consider. You have probably wondered if the color of the lab makes a difference in the quality of the puppy that you choose. You may also wonder how to find a Labrador puppy that has been bred well. To those questions and more, you will find the answers in the following article.

Finding a Labrador Puppy that Has Been Bred Well
One of the most important things to look for in a Labrador puppy is one that has been bred well. Authentic breeders will:

  1. Be members of the AKC (the American Kennel Club)
  2. Will provide you with health records for each puppy
  3. Will frequently handle pups
  4. Will socialize the pups (e.g. the puppies will not be afraid to play with you)
  5. Will in addition remove the puppies dew claws and provide them with their first shots at 6 weeks of age. Will also put the puppies through a 3 cycle de-worming program to eliminate parasites
  6. Will not allow you to take the pup until he or she is approximately 7 weeks old

Does Color Make a Difference?
The beauty of a Labrador is often an initial attraction for potential dog owners. Labradors are available as chocolate labs, yellows labs (lighter colored yellow labs often appear to be white), silvers or black labs. Some people claim that black Labradors make the best Labrador retrievers, but this is untrue. When purchasing a Labrador from a professional breeder you should pay more attention to the genetics or the disposition (see paragraph below) of the particular puppy than to its color. However, if you would like a Labrador puppy for purely aesthetic reasons, then feel free to choose the color of your choice.

Choosing a Labrador Puppy with the Right Disposition
When choosing a Labrador puppy, most potential dog owners want a dog with a mellow yet playful disposition. Many well meaning people offer advice such as, “Let the puppy choose you.” They say this assuming that the puppy which runs to you first will probably be the puppy that would get along best with you. This is not necessarily true. That puppy may be the most aggressive puppy in its litter. Aggressive puppies do not make the best pets. Here are some tips for choosing your Labrador puppy:

  • Evaluate the entire litter. If you notice that the entire litter is shy or overly reserved, then regardless of whether there are one or two ‘friendlier’ puppies, you should probably avoid that litter. The genetics found in that litter are not what you are looking for. The same goes for a hyperactive litter.
  • Look for puppies that are trusting. Well bred puppies are curious and trusting. Take out your car keys or make other noises. Do some of the puppies respond? Take this into consideration.
  • Look for personality traits in the puppy that you would look for in a human roommate. Ask yourself which puppies are bossy? Which ones are noisy? Which puppies are shy? Which are submissive? Chances are, you will opt for the puppy that doesn’t bite or claw when he interacts with the other puppies in his litter but can still interact and hold his own with other puppies.

Toronto, the New York City of Canada

Posted by admin in Lots Of Travel Resources

Toronto, my city of birth, is the largest city in Canada with a population of about 3 million (5 million in the greater area) and it keeps growing every year as it seems to be the first city of choice for immigrants from around the world. With over 100 languages spoken here, Toronto is the most multicultural city in the world according to the United Nations. This is actually a good thing since Toronto can be a model for the rest of the world in regards to showing how it is possible for different people of many different cultures and faiths to get along peacefully. Friends of different racial backgrounds and religions can be found here where they would probably be enemies in other parts of the world.

Having lived in Toronto for most of my life so far, I’m always amazed on how the city has grown as a tourist destination. Torontonians seem to take world class attractions like the CN Tower and the Skydome for granted since many see it every day during their commute. Of course, the CN Tower is a very worthwhile visit as a ride to the top is a must for every visitor.

Toronto has one of the best redeveloped harbourfronts anywhere. This area has boutiques at Queen’s Quay, restaurants, cafes and galleries. Nearby Ontario Place and the Canadian National Exhibition are annual favorites among locals. This is also where one takes the ferries across to the Toronto Islands. The islands are all connected via bike paths and offer a unique view of the Toronto cityscape as well as a nice break from the busy downtown. Located on the main island, Centreville is a petting zoo and small amusement park for kids.

The action is downtown and probably where most tourists should stay. Although the hotels prices are higher in downtown than the suburbs, Toronto traffic is unfortunately not getting any better so it is best to stay where commuting is kept at a minimum. There is a very efficient transit system for those who want to stay outside of the downtown area though. A walk along Yonge Street near the Eaton Centre mall will reveal the wilder parts of Toronto life. For the latest trends, Queen Street West is where the funky boutiques and bars are. For upscale shopping, go to Bloor Street between Yonge and Avenue Road as well as the Yorkville area.

Toronto is a live theatre town, second to perhaps only New York or London. The theatre district on King Street has a lively after theatre scene including restaurants and clubs. During the day, the world renowned Royal Ontario Museum, Art Gallery of Ontario and the Planetarium showcase treasures from around the world (as well as out of the world). Many also come to see the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Toronto has Canada’s largest Chinatown. Actually, the growth of the Asian population has resulted in four different Chinatowns in the greater area. The main one is centered around Spadina and Dundas. The dim sum in Toronto is one of the best outside of Hong Kong since most Chinese immigrants here were originally from Hong Kong. Other ethnicities are also represented by such districts as Little Italy, the Greek Danforth area and many others. For outdoor markets, the Kensington and St. Lawrence Markets are great. Since Toronto is so multicultural, it is an excellent place to try out different cuisines.

For animal lovers, the Metro Toronto Zoo northeast of the city is world famous and will take an entire day to see. During the summers, Canada’s Wonderland is a family oriented theme park just north of the city. Niagara Falls, one of the natural wonders of the world, is just ninety minutes away and worth a day trip or even an overnight stay. There are just too many things to see and do in the Toronto area to mention in one article. Vancouver has the ocean and mountains while Quebec City has that old European touch. But to see world class live theatre and Canadian multiculturalism at its best, Toronto is where it’s at.

Hydration in Bodybuilding

Posted by admin in Mean And Lean: Fitness Infos

So many people don’t realize how important it is to keep your body hydrated, especially during work out. Also most of them will work out too much adding to the negative effect dehydration can have. What is really concerning is that in bad conditions like extreme warmth and an excessively long work out with lack of water several incidents like strokes can happen. This should be avoided and it helps more than you’d imagine if you drink enough water.

Water is a big part of our body (55 to 75% of our body weight) and also think about the fact that blood is 90% formed of water. Now just think about it! What can happen if your blood does not have enough water? It’s very simple, it will thicken and the natural flow of it will be damaged. Also, the muscle is formed of 70-80% water.

Many people ask: how can they know how much water to drink during a workout? It is a simple procedure that should be followed. All you have to do is weigh yourself before exercising and you have to have the same weight when the work out is done. If you weigh less then you are dehydrated.

On the other hand drinking too much water will lead to a condition called Hyponatremia. This can also lead in extreme cases to serious accidents like strokes and comas. Too much water is also bad as you can see.

The kidneys are very important in our body when talking about hydration as they regulate the fluids by controlling the flow of urine. Have you ever noticed the difference in color of the urine? If it is excessively clear then you are over hydrated and if it is too dark then you are dehydrated.

Be attentive to the levels of hydration in your work out. As you can see it is very important and as a general rule it will also help you have a better and more productive exercise session.
