1980’s Costumes - Creating a Blast from the past
Can’t get enough of the 80’s? Bring back the Hammer pants and Valley girl speak . . . if only for one night. Mixing 1980’s costumes, a little Boy George and a few creative ideas, you can create a blast from the past sure to be the talk of the block.
Here is one of our favorite invitation ideas for a 1980’s bash . . .
Baby You’re Much Too Fast
You guessed it - Our little red corvette invitations will have your guests begging for more. Simply take a stroll down the kid’s party aisle and pick up some invites with red corvettes on the front covers. Don’t worry about what the inside says. You are going to cut the cars out once you get them home.
After you cut your cars from the cards you purchased, hot glue them to a bold red or black polka dot printed-paper. Using a glitter glaze, accent the headlights of the car and the polka dots. On the inside of your invites write, “I should have known from the way you parked your car sideways . . . I’d have to call the tow truck - just kidding . . . 80’s party tonight at 8:00. Be there.”
Ask your guests to come decked out in 1980’s costumes. Come on now - you know they still have those stirrup pants somewhere in the back of their closet!
Oh, and don’t forget the Aqua-net!
