With his creation of Intelius, Naveen Jain has brought to the information commerce industry a remarkable vision of integrating intelligent, predictive information with technology that makes the data readily available to consumers. Intelius provides a wide range of information-based services that include background checks, pre-employment screening, criminal checks, and ID theft protection.

India-born Naveen Jain is an epitome of a rare combination of a visionary, a manager, a technical guru, and an entrepreneur. Naveen Jain is also a motivator, creating an atmosphere of innovation, dedication, and production.

Naveen Jain’s entry into the world of Internet technology and consumer information services has thrust him to the top ranks of young entrepreneurs and technological innovators. His brainchild, Intelius, promptly received attention and interest from the business sector of the media as the rising giant in the information industry. Indeed, the entrepreneur and his company have received nominations for a number of notable business awards, including the 2006 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award, the 2006 Stevie Award for Best New Company, the 2007 CODiE Award for Best Online Consumer Service, and the 2007 Stevie Award for Most Innovative Company.

Jain was born and raised in India and earned his Engineering undergraduate degree at the University of Roorkee. He continued on to earn an MBA at Xavier School of Management. Eventually, he left for the United States and later worked with Microsoft until the early 90s. He worked on the MSN Network in its early days, laying the foundations for Microsoft’s flagship Internet service.

In his search to build on that success, Jain left Microsoft in 1996 to launch InfoSpace, a service provider for Internet services. Under his leadership, InfoSpace became the leading telephone and address content provider for AOL, the MSN Network, and other large Web properties.

Jain then left InfoSpace and founded Intelius at the beginning of 2003.

A loyal husband and a caring father, Naveen Jain supports and gives to organizations and institutions dealing with issues such as world hunger, health, and education such as CRY India, Children’s Hospital, the University of Washington, and United Way.
