5 Essential Steps To Create A Life You Love

Posted by admin in Be A Beauty

1. Take the time to build and fortify your personal foundation.

Your personal foundation is the structural basis that supports you in living an exceptional life. Just as a house must be built on a strong foundation to avoid collapsing under stress, so must your life. A house’s foundation is made up of earth, cement and steel. Your personal foundation is also made up of three primary elements: Body, Mind and Spirit or What, Who and How. (Personal Foundation; CoachU)

In order to begin moving toward a life you really “love” you need to truly assess and nurture each of these three areas.

What- What are you manifesting (financial restriction or abundance, stagnation or flowing creativity, frustration or centered “now-based” living, etc.)? What are the results of your life up to now? Are these manifestations and results congruent with your core values, your deepest intentions, and what you want for yourself?

Who- Who are you at your core? Do you “know” for sure and are you living a life that reflects the Whoare you living in integrity with who you are?

How: How do you do what you do? What drives you toward your behaviors and determines your actions?

In short, Who you are + How you live (your intentions and your actions) = What results you currently experience in your life.

Understanding and balancing these three elements is foundational in building a life of empowerment, self-actualization and living a life you love.

2. Orient your life around your gifts.

Gifts are those talents and abilities that flow almost effortlessly from us. Gifts are sometimes confused with skills. While skills can be developed, gifts are something we are born withthey are what we discover as we try new things and find that some things are as natural to us as breathing. When we intentionally make a decision to create our life and work based on our gifts, we are not only more likely to succeed, but can also more thoroughly enjoy the journey to creating and realizing our full potential.

Take inventory of your life to determine where you are utilizing learned and developed skills as opposed to expressing and honoring your innate gifts. Are you operating based on what you think you “ought” to be doing or are you living an authentic life that is rich and fulfilling.

Even if you are not in a place to pursue a new career based on your gifts, look for ways to make your gifts known to others and demonstrate them in as many areas of your life as possible. The more you and those around you are aware of your gifts, the more those gifts will be called upon. The more your gifts are called upon, the more naturally you will fully accept and promote those gifts. The more you express your life through your innate gifts, the more you will excel. It’s a self-perpetuating process once you make the decision to begin.

Your gifts are your signature, your unique paintbrushes–use them to express your greatness and make your mark on the world!

3. Invest 10% of your time to maximize the other 90%.

Many people invest 90% of their time running full steam ahead. They take little or no time for planning intentional actions. They live on adrenalin and often see themselves as a victim, rather than the creator, of their life experiences. With this mindset they will spend 90% of their time putting out fires and only 10% of their time for planning or doing what they truly “want” to be doing.

However, if you want to be successful and happy, the key is to invest 10% of your time establishing effective operating structures so that you can spend 90% of your time being productive, living, and doing what you love.

This principle can manifest differently for different people depending on their personality, their line of work, their family structure, and a host of other factors. However, the concept is the same. Take a small portion of your time to identify what you want to do (your goals), map out the action steps needed to accomplish those milestones, and identify the benefits of completing or reaching them (outcomes/results). By doing this you not only have a clear map to guide you, but the motivation that it takes to get you there.

Whether it’s work, play relationships, or any other aspect of your life, being intentional about living a Goal, Action and Result based life will allow you to spend 10% (or less) of your time strategically determining where you want to go and what you want to do. This will allow you to invest the bulk of your time on this planet living proactively!

You are the master of your lifeevery day is one more gift, one more chance to excel in maximizing every moment, leveraging every opportunity and living your life fully!

4. Build a community of supportUpgrade your network if necessary.

One of the most important things you can do to begin living a life you love is to make sure you are conscious about surrounding yourself with people who are supportive of you and who are operating at a similar or higher level. In short, create your optimal community. This means surrounding yourself with people who inspire you toward your greatest potential. People who have the capacity to assist you in getting where you want to go and who truly support you in achieving your utmost dreams.

This may mean you need to “upgrade” your environment. You, like all organisms, thrive in environments that are best suited to your make-up. The beauty in being a human organism is that you have the will and ability to choose your environment. It’s just a matter of recognizing that you have that power and then taking the actions necessary to create a new, healthier environment where you and those around you can really thrive. The wonderful thing about being an adult is that you may not have been able to choose your childhood experiences or your family, but you do, now, get the chance to choose your community, your environment. If you find you are in your optimum community, it’s time to celebrate and tell them how much you appreciate them! If you self-assess and find you are not in your optimum communityit’s time to make changesit’s time to “upgrade!” You may choose to graciously, or assertively, let some people drop out of your life. This will allow you to engage and attract new people into your life in order to create your best community.

This is not, by any means, a purely self-serving act. Being surrounded by individuals who align with our values and who have compatible interests to our own creates a unique community. This community allows each individual to whole-heartedly support and encourage each other to realize their full potential. That’s why it’s called a communitywe all benefit by actively engaging with those who share and demonstrate similar values and energy.
“If you do not change direction, you may end up where you are heading.” Lao Tzu

5. Get a coach.

Most people who are viewed by the world around them as being successful often credit their success to people in their life that they consider to be a coach or mentor. In fact, the most successful people on the planet have their own personal (hired) coach. The reason for this is simple. While, friends, family and colleagues can be wonderful cheerleaders, supporters, and confidants, they often provide guidance to you based on their own agenda. Their agenda is often a well meaning one (they want you to exceed in your current job, they want you to get married and thus be “happy,” they want you to join them in a business venture that will hopefully benefit both of you, etc.) but the bottom line is: it’s “their” agenda. While their wants for you may sometimes align with your own life desires and goals; it is difficult, if not impossible, for them to be unbiased in their role with you. None of us can be truly “unbiased” in the ways we interact with those closest to us because our lives are so directly intertwined with one another. It is easy to lose objectivity and be detached from the outcomes.

That is where a personal coach comes in. The purpose of a personal coach is to provide you a professional who is skilled at unbiased listening. A professional coach hones in on “you,” and holds “your agenda”. Your coach expertly assists you in creating a strong personal foundation that allows you to dream big and achieve those dreams with no predetermined expectations about what you can or cannot accomplish. All truly effective coaches hold that there is nothing you cannot achieve if it aligns with your core values and you are willing to do what it takes to make it happen.

A coach is your personal trainer in life. A coach helps you discover your untapped potential and works with you to develop every aspect of your personal greatness. With the right coach you can’t help but succeed and dazzle yourself and those around you. In fact, many people are motivated and inspired to hire their own coach when they see the incredible results coaching brings to friends and colleagues in their network!

Almost all recognized leaders have a personal coach. Of course, all professional athletes do, but so do Fortune 500 CEOs, cutting edge business leaders and recognized role models. Did you know that Oprah Winfrey has a coach?

It doesn’t matter where you are in your journey toward self-actualization, if you want to excel and live a life you truly love living, you should seriously consider hiring a personal coach.

“Who exactly seeks out a coach? Winners who want even more out of life.” — Chicago Tribune

In summary, let’s review those 5 stepping stones toward creating a life you love…

1 Take the time to build and fortify your personal foundation.
2 Orient your life around your gifts.
3 Invest 10% of your time to maximize the other 90%.
4 Build a community of supportUpgrade your network if necessary.
5 Get a coach.

These are tried and true strategies that work. So apply them at your own riskyou will, I repeat, you WILL experience incredible results that promise to alter your life for the better!

Here’s to you accessing your greatest potential and creating a life you LOVE!

“Please help me bring back the love of my life.” Part one of a two-part series.

Posted by admin in Be A Beauty

Often I receive emails asking me how to use the Law of Attraction to attract a certain person–usually for romatic purposes. One woman, in her 40’s, wrote to me this week and has given me permission to share some of our correspondence with you. Perhaps you (or someone you know) will recognize the feelings expressed here:

“Please can you help me understand how to bring back the love of my life. We only dated for a short time but I know he is the one. He has been hurt badly and didn’t want to end things with me but felt he had to because he was frightened he would be hurt again. It was a very emotional ending for both of us.

I love him so much that I let him go and I respect him so I have stayed away to give him time and space. We have been apart for three months. In my heart I know that we are meant to be together but even though I was so sad and in despair I still felt loving and kindness towards him and my thoughts were always hopeful. And in my longing and praying several ‘co-incidences’ have happened.

Not long after we split up I started searching the web for anything that could give me advice about winning back the man I love and discovered the Law of Attraction. . .Can you help me?”

Sometimes a man will write to me in a similar vein: “I’m in love with this wonderful (or beautiful) woman. I know she is the one for me. Our paths have crossed often. How can I get her to notice me (or go out with me)?”

In part one of this two-part series, we’ll look at why you are NOT in a relationship with the “love of your dreams.” In part two we’ll look at what to do when a seemingly “perfect partnership” falls apart. I hope that while reading both you will also understand how the Law of attraction DOES bring the true Mr./Ms. Right your way - because it will work!

Part one: “Why am I NOT in a relationship with the love of my life? What’s happening here? Is the Law of Attraction at work?” Of course it is!

The Law of Attraction is always reflecting back to you your vibration. Remember:

You can know what you are vibrating by observing what IS
showing up in your life.
When you think you are in love with someoneand are sure they are “the one,” but cannot seem to convince him or her or attract him or her, then they are NOT “the one”. If they were, you would already be in a relationship with them–a natural, mutual, harmonious relationship that both of you equally gravitated toward.

Two scenarios are really at play here:

You are in love with the idea of this person being in love with you. That someone with these physical attributes, or character traits, or successes in life could want to be with you is an exhilarating idea.

What often happens is that you meet someone who has five (or ten) characteristics that you are looking for in your ideal partner and you assume that he or she is your “ideal mate.” You think, “This is it! I’ve found ‘the one’ for me for the rest of my life.” However, the attraction just doesn’t seem mutual and you do not understand why. Didn’t the Law of Attraction bring them to you? Well, the real question is are they looking for someone like you? Are you a vibrational match for this person?

Remember that the person you are looking at may only appear to have the qualities you desire. Underneath the exterior clothing of beauty and success, there may be person with entirely different goals, beliefs and core values than yours. Even if you are very similar, what is he or she looking for? The role of their ideal mate may be very different from one you would truly like to play.

The second scenario goes like this:

You are in love with the idea of being “allowed” to love this person Seeing their potential and their needs, you may also see how “helpful” you could be for them as a mate. Searching for love with this motive is especially dangerous because, sadly, more often than not there is simply an insecure, life-draining person there, hoping to find someone to give their life meaning and purpose. (Not a healthy thought.) Victims attract someone who can make them a victim again. The poor attract someone who can enable them to continue in their poverty. The Law of Attraction is not fooled, nor can it be manipulated through words and expressions of desires that are not in alignment with the truth.

But you see so many people around you happy and in love, why does it not come your way?

Here is how the Law of Attraction does work, and how you can make it work for you:

In order to attract the “ideal partner”– someone who is in vibrational harmony with who you are–you must be what you seek.

Are you looking for someone who is kind? You must be kind. Do you want someone with good looks? You must care about how you look. Do you want someone who will make a commitment to you? Ask yourself, “Do I keep commitments?” Do you want someone who is successful? Ask your self, “Am I vibrating success?”

Remember, the Law of Attraction is bringing to you exactly what you are vibrating. If you want something different in your life, you must change yourself–your vibration. It’s an inside job and you can only change yourself– you can’t change someone else’s vibration.

I referred to the second scenario as especially dangerous for this reason exactly - you can’t change someone else, and while trying to do so you stop concentrating on yourself, stalling any change and growth that may need to occur in you.

You CAN attract your ideal partner. You CAN find joy in a healthy relationship. Just start with yourself:

KNOW yourself
ACCEPT yourself
HONOR yourself
TRUST yourself
LOVE yourself
When you do, the most perfect relationships happen in a perfectly natural way.

Why? Because your healthy relationship with yourself is reflected in your healthy relationship with that significant other.

3 Actions You Can Take Right Now to Bring Your Dream to Light

Posted by admin in Be A Beauty

You hear it all the time; “follow your dream”, “discover your dream”, “dreams do come true”. The way people talk about LIVING YOUR DREAM, it’s as if everyone must have one!

I think they do, which means I think YOU do! So, if in fact the rather bold statement I just made is true, how do you go about bringing your dream to light? These tips will help.

1. ALLOW yourself to dream.

We STOP dreaming because at some point in our life we were told the dream we had was unrealistic. And after hearing it enough times from others we started believing it too. A dream that once felt so good to think about and seemed so possible to achieve, suddenly left us feeling silly for ever having it. So we did the only thing we could do, we packed our dream(s) safely away, not to be shared again.

Just because your dream is packed away for safe keeping, doesn’t mean it no longer exists. In fact, it might be the thing that keeps trying to get your attention! If you’ve ever had a notion there was “more” to life, listen up - your dream is talking!

How can you gently coax your dream back into the light?

You can ask yourself: “If money was no object, and failure was not a concern, what would I do with my life?”

As we get older we get more practical. But when you’re trying to unleash a dream there’s no room for practicality. Asking the question above will give you free rein to dream away! There will be plenty of opportunities for practical matters later on. For now, give yourself permission to once again dream and when you do, dream BIG!

2. Don’t judge your dream.

There isn’t a scale on which dreams are measured. In other words, one dream is no better or worse than another dream. Your DREAM is YOUR dream!

If, since the time you were eight years old, you’ve wanted to study the life and habitat of iguanas, perhaps your dream is exactly what you need to do to feel your best and to live a life you find meaningful.

The consequence of not living your dream? What about the poor iguanas!

There’s a reason you have the dream you have. In the big cosmic picture of life, your dream serves a purpose to all life on this earth. If you don’t live your dream, the rest of us are missing out.

The second tip for bringing your dream to light: Don’t JUDGE your dream. Rather, embrace it - it’s yours for a reason.

3. Practice patience.

Dreams take time to unfold, especially when you haven’t allowed yourself to dream for awhile.

Some people know their dream from an early age. For the rest of us, we need to remain open and curious as to what our dream is. Listen to your gut, heart and soul and trust they have the answers you seek.

It may take some time for your dream to be revealed. Therefore, the last tip is to HAVE PATIENCE. It may take time to bring your dream to light, but it’ll be worth the wait.

Allow yourself to dream, don’t’ judge the dream you have and practice patience: three actions you can take today to bring your dream to light.

Hair Loss - Getting to the Roots

Posted by admin in Be A Beauty

Everyday we shed hair regardless of age or how healthy our hair is, just the same as we shed skin. Most of us fortunately never have any problems with noticeable hair loss, but then there are an ever increasing amount of us that do experience the almost ‘nightmare’ of losing our hair at all different ages. Once hair has been lost it is normally replaced in a reasonable amount of time, but it is only when the hair is not replaced for whatever reason that may be, that the loss of hair starts to become noticeable.

There are many myths of hair loss as usual, just as there are with any medical condition, but there are numerous known contributors to hair loss, that are present in most of our lives. Excessive bleaching and colouring of your hair and the constant use of products that are full of chemicals can be detrimental for your hair’s condition. The process of aging can have the effect of hair loss even if you have lived a stress free healthy life, and can cause you to search for hair loss treatment.

Most drugs whether they have been prescribed by doctors or taken for recreational purposes can not only have an effect on practically all of your bodily functions, and lot term effect on your body mentally and physically, but can also contribute to the loss of hair at all stages of life. Any type of skin infection or hormonal imbalance with women can influence the loss of hair, and so can any illness that has taken a hard toll on your body.

One of the most common thoughts of hair loss is down to stress, and working a lot of hours and spending most of your working week stressed up to your eyeballs, and not been able to distress before you commence with another stressful day at work seems to contribute to a lot of hair loss across the nation. A simply remedy to this is work less hours, or do not let your work stress you up as much. This is quite often easy to say, and very difficult to put into practice.

Tummy Tuck Cost - Is it Affordable?

Posted by admin in Be A Beauty

Tummy tuck or abdominoplasty, as it is known in medical terms is the best possible way to shape up your lower stomach when excessive fat accumulates around the lower abdominal muscles and it looses its elasticity. There are different types of tummy tucks for different cases. Some involve mild shaping up while other may require a complete operation for removal of the excessive fat and skin, tightening up the abdominal muscles and repositioning the naval.

Stats show that more and more people are opting for a tummy tuck, which is not only safe but also more affordable now (the cost is being reduced). Majority of people who delay tummy tuck do so because of the cost factor. The cost is high and usually between $2500 and $8500 for a tummy tuck, the cost depends upon the reputation of team you hire, length and complexity of the procedure along with the ancillary costs associated with the tummy tuck. The various factors which are effective in determining the cost for a tummy tuck are:

1. Surgeon’s Fees: the cost depends on the tummy tuck surgeon’s reputation.

2. Medical Tests cost: tests you need to undergo, before the actual operation, to be declared fit for the operation.

3. Operation Room Fees: a mild shapeup can be performed within a surgeon’s operation theatre while a major tummy tuck has to be performed in a hospital.

4. Anesthesiologist fees: depends on the team you are hiring.

5. Room/bed cost: If the tummy tuck was lengthy, complex and the surgeons believe that you have to be kept under medical supervision you’ll have to pay for the room/bed fees as well.

6. Post surgery cost: expenditures on post surgery medical prescription and specially designed compression garments.

A tummy tuck is more affordable today due to a number of reasons, first and foremost is that most of the surgeons are offering financing options. Insurance agencies may not cover the complete cost of a tummy tuck but certain procedures involved in the operation may be covered by your insurance policy. Most of the surgeons may refer you to professional financial advisors who offer financial advice, in some cases these advisors can prove that the tummy tuck is a medical necessity, in such a case your insurance carrier will have to cover the cost of the entire operation.

You may also want to talk to your insurance agency, informing them of your decision of to undergo tummy tuck surgery, as it may increase the cost of future premiums.

Tired Of Tweezing? A Better Way To A More Beautiful You

Posted by admin in Be A Beauty

Any drug store has a section full of products to deal with the problem of unwanted facial hair: tweezers, waxes, bleaches, and even sugaring kits. Some salons have a trained electrolysist on staff to remove hairs by electrolysis (electric charge put through a needle to kill hair follicles at their root). Some dermatologists now offer laser removal of hair that removes hair.

Many women use one or a combination of these methods to remove facial hair that they feel detracts from their appearance. Some of these methods are uncomfortable, some can’t be used by women with certain types of skin, some are temporary, and the ones that are permanent can be outrageously expensive. Lisa S, a family lawyer, comments wryly, “I’d rather spend the money on a gorgeous dress - then no-one will be looking at my face anyhow!”

Where did this facial hair come from?

All women have facial hair: for some women it consists of “peach fuzz” - an almost unnoticible sprinkling of almost invisible hairs. Some women however have places where one or more darker hairs (sometimes called terminal hairs) which they feel detracts from their beauty.

Women have different amounts of terminal hair on the face for different reasons. it might be hereditary - if your mother or grandmother has darker facial hair on the upper lip you’re more likely to have the same pattern. Having more body fat allows your body to create more of the hormones that make terminal hairs grow. And all women, thin or curvy, make more of the hair-growth hormone as they get older, which can increase facial hair growth.

Rarely, large amounts of facial-hair growth (for example, a “beard” and “moustache” type appearance) may signal an illness that is changing your hormones. If you’ve noticed a significant change in your facial hair or your hair growth seems excessive to you, talk to a doctor that you’re comfortable with. Her job is to help so don’t be shy! She will make sure you get treatment if there is a problem. And most of the time, she’ll be able to reassure you that the hair growth you’re experiencing is normal.

It might be normal, but I still don’t like it!

What makes facial hair “unwanted” depends on the woman. Some women feel perfectly comfortable with visible hairs on the upper lip, where others will find very bothersome. Only you know whether it makes you uncomfortable with your appearance!

If it does bother you, though, and you’re tired of plucking, waxing or bleaching, you may want to consider the option of a medication that actually reduces the amount your facial hair grows.

Vaniqa Cream

Vaniqa is a prescription topical medication, a cream that you put on the skin that has the annoying hairs. Vaniqa’s active ingredient (eflornithine HCl) actually slows the growth of hairs.

Vaniqa doesn’t remove hairs completely. So if you’ve been tweezing or waxing, you may occasionally continue to do so. But you’ll notice that you have to remove hairs less often or find that with fewer hairs growing at any one time, their appearance does not bother you as much.

Best of all, Vaniqa has very few side effects: rarely, a few women feel stinging, burning or see a rash where they’ve applied the cream. And in studies of the drugs, the women who did have side effects felt that they were so mild that they continued using Vaniqa. If you have side-effects, stop using the cream till you’ve talked with your doctor.

World, Here I Come!

As you use Vaniqa you’ll notice the reduced appearance of facial hair and you’ll spend less time removing the hair that appears. You’ll have more time to do the things that the beautiful-you wants to do - shopping, flirting with your husband, working, and being more confident every step of the way!
